Application Instructions

  • Remove any nail polish/gel.  Trim nails and push cuticles back.  Remove excess cuticle if needed.
  • Buff your nails with the file to remove shine, and buff the inside of the press on nail.
  • Remove any dust caused from filing.
  • Find the best size of each nail to fit your natural nail.  There are 12 sizes included but in some cases you may need to file the nail for a correct size if you have small hands.
  • Cleanse nail with alcohol pad.
  • Prep is the most important step, if nails are not prepared correctly the nails will pop off.  Don't rush this step.
  • Optional step: I also use an nail dehydrator and bonder on my nails before applying anything to my nails.  These can be purchased on Amazon, Sally's etc.  It's not required but it helps remove any extra oils and moisture from the nail.
  • For short term wear: apply jelly tabs to natural nail and apply press on nail close to the cuticle.  Press VERY FIRMLY!  I recommend pressing firmly for 30 seconds.
  • For 2-3 week wear: Apply liquid nail glue to your natural nail and press on nail. Press down FIRMLY for 30 seconds.
  • Optional step:  I like protecting my natural nail with a base coat.  If you have a nail lamp you can use any gel polish base coat and cure it, then apply the nail glue.  It adds an extra sticky layer.  If you don't have an nail lamp, Sally Hansen's Hard As Nails works well as a base coat.  Let dry and apply glue. I'm not sure about other brands of base coats if they work the same so I would only recommend these 2.
  • Optional step:  Add an extra layer of protection to your nails by adding a clear coat to the nails.  Again, this isn't required and they are fine on their own, but a clear coat will allow them to last even longer.   Clear top coat polish works or if the nails are matte, remember to use a matte topcoat.   If you have a nail lamp, you can add a no wipe gel top coat in either glossy or matte.  Remember if using a gel top coat to apply the gel base coat first, cure, then gel top coat.  The gel top coat will chip without the sticky base layer.
  • If nails are too long they can be filed shorter just make sure the nail glue is dry before filing. Nail tip clippers can also be used.
  • IMPORTANT: Do not get nails wet for 3 hours.  Glue needs time to try. It is best to do nails in the evening before bed so glue can dry overnight.
